Hinduism roots are the seven truths
Hinduism, although closely related to many Asian religions, does not have its "roots" in another religion it is a religion of its own believing in a trinity of gods and their incarnations.
The root of Hinduism is Sanatana Dharma. It is the faith of the people who settled by the Indus river. Centuries ago, thousands of years ago, it is prehistoric and there is no written history about this but the roots are still available. Just like we see the shoots and the fruits and we believe in the roots, so Hinduism is just the shoot, but the roots are the belief in a formless, nameless God. A God that exists in you and me. Sanatana Dharma is captured in the Upanishads, and the principles of the Upanishads make us realize that we are all manifestations of the Divine, that God is everywhere, in everything. We have to get to the principles of Sanatana Dharma to understand original Hinduism.
