What are astroids larger than in the solar system?

They are bigger than some stars. Depends what planet and star you are comparing like earth to our star the sun...well obviously the sun is bigger but earth to a lets say a neutron star(im not sure) but I think earth would be bigger

So far, no asteroids are known outside the Solar System. The observational limit is currently close to the size of the Earth. However, You can assume that anything below a certain size (or mass) will eventually be classified as an "asteroid" - or perhaps, the same definition as in the Solar System will be used: that, to qualify as a "planet", it must be able to "clear its surroundings" or something like that. Anything that doesn't qualify as a planet would then be an asteroid; the largest of these (such as Ceres, Pluto, or Eris in our own Solar System) would be called "dwarf planets".

Obviously stars are all made from matter...so this question could be addressed as; how do forming stars obtain more matter. The answer is simply more gravity. Gravity is defined as the attraction force between two masses. So as the star attracts more matter its gravity increases and this process of attracting matter speeds up. But the only way gravity can increase is if there is plenty of matter available. Matter isn't spread out uniformly across the universe often its clustered in vast 'pockets' of gasses and particles called 'Nebula's', these are where stars are born. If a star is forming inside a particular large nebular it has more matter available therefore the stars gravity can continue to grow and create a larger star than a star in a nebular with less matter. This isn't the only reason how star size varies but is the easiest to explain. Its also easier to understand as our sun was created inside the same nebular as other local stars which is why we don't find particularly larger stars close to earth; which is probably a good thing.

Normally yes. The main exception are dead stars - stars that ran out of fuel, such as white dwarves.
