bathing- there are showers but no hot water and only 4 minutes as there is barely any water as it is, and are given soap to wash with
eating- they get 3 meals a day, a quick breakfast before they go off to dig holes, then later when there canteens get filled a packed lunch, and then dinner after they get back and have a shower, relax (if you can call it that), which could perhaps be stew, gross vegies and a single slice of bread. mmm. not.
