During summer, everything is just calm since it is vacation time for those who are still schooling. There are a lot of people who go to beaches, resorts, vacation spots, or even out of the country to have quality time together as family and friends. It is also the time for fiestas and celebrations in the different provinces of the Philippines. It's going to be a different story next year though since it will be the presidential elections and it's going to be very busy.

You start to see advertisements for school supplies, books, and even schools themselves in different types of media such as TV, radio and newspapers. A lot of them do it to avoid the "back to school" rush.
Right after summer, by the start of June or it could even be in the middle of June, the wet or rainy season starts to take over. Well, for me, it's better to have rains than to endure the searing heat of summer. But of course, it is still pretty inconvenient to go out while it's raining. Downpours happen occasionally and they're just average level rains. However, at this time of the year, we start to see a flurry of storms and typhoons until the end of the year.
