Shortly before the French Revolution began, sometime in the late 1770s, the French economy was in very bad shape. France had been influenced greatly by the revolution in America. France had given millions to support the colonies in America. Also, the fact that King Louis XIV had ordered the built of Versailles in 1682 drained the treasury immensely. The succeeding King Louis XV and King Louis XVI tried to fix the huge debts by making the commoners (the bourgeoisie) pay very high taxes.
By 1789 France had no money left and France was officially declared bankrupt.
A similiarity, I think, would be that they both moved towards ending the slave trade itself before the actual Slavery in the British and French colonies (: That's only one though :$ Sorry.
They both were written before the first president was elected

They're both North American trade companies. The HBC (Hudson Bay Company) was established well before the NWC (Northwest Company) but back then, they both chiefly were big on trading furs, etc.

It was between the rebels in the 13 colonies and Britain. The rebels ended up winning and then a whole bunch of crazy crap happened before America was declared a country
Generally in the tobacco-growing states from Virginia and on south.
Some were made here, many were imported from Britain, France, and Germany.
The King's unfair treatment and abuses of the colonist.
because the before 1776 the colonists were fighting in a revolt instead of a country and even after 1776 colonists were still called traitors by the british The colonies were revolting to get rid of the English rule over them.-Novanet
The first continetial congress and begging to fight in the revolutionary war
If you are talking about the American colonies then you are in the wrong time period. The American colonies only existed before, and during the American Revolutionary War. Only countries in Europe and the U.S. participated in WW1.
