The youngest age I know of is 12. A child has to be 12 or older to participate in the babysitting courses offered through the YMCA. However, there is no set legal age in Indiana. It is determined on a case-by-case basis, as some children are very mature at 12, while others are not mature enough to be trusted alone at 15.
I called the state police and they indicated there are no specific laws detailing age requirements, but it is the maturity of the babysitter that matters. There are safesitter programs that can properly train potential babysitters and it would be worthwhile to look for someone that had shown the responsibility to get properly trained.
what's the amount should charge for babysitting, how many hours should keep the children a day, and how many children you can babysit at a time?
the most important rule is that the baby is safe. i have been babysitting scince i was 11 and i am good at it. you want emergency numbers of course.
Greetings Folks, I'm a mom whose reviewing babysitting laws because my own daughter has reached babysitting age. From what I can tell you do not need a license to babysit your own flesh and blood. If however you are professionally babysitting other people's children, that is to say, running a daycare, then you do need a license. Anne

There are no laws on babysitting. It is up to the parents.
It dosent really matter what age you are anywhere if it babysitting like your brothers. I couldent find any "LAWS" so it all depends about your parents and whoevers children your babysittin.
i dont think you have to be certified to be a babysitter...
Indiana does not have specific laws regulating the amount of medical bills. Hospitals and healthcare providers are generally allowed to charge rates that they determine to be reasonable and customary. Patients are expected to negotiate any billing disputes with their healthcare facility directly.
Marijuana is illegal for both medical and recreational use in Indiana. Possession of any amount of marijuana is considered a misdemeanor, with penalties varying based on the amount. Indiana does not have any current legislation allowing for the medical use of marijuana.

Nanny jobs pay reasonably well in Indiana. You would have steadier pay if you worked with a nanny agency instead of looking for individual babysitting jobs.
Hate to bust the bubble, but probably nowhere. Child labor laws will exempt you from working anywhere but on a farm or in a private home (e.g. Babysitting or shovelling horse manure. - Pick your poison.)
Because of the way labor laws are, companies generally don't hire teens to do babysitting for them. Your teen will need to apprach potential clients informally.
