What are the best Pokemon team if you choose bulbasuar as a beginner and only Pokemon caught in fire red?

I would say that Bulbasaur is good when it fully evolves into Venusaur at a higher level but Squirtle is probably the best Pokémon to start with anyway onto the team you'll need to work around types (fire,water eg.) so you have grass so get a backup for your Bulbasaur for example Venusaur vs Charizard - switch out to the water Pokémon of your choice. It works in a cycle and that is why there is no perfect team in any Pokémon game unless you cheat.

Bulbasaur is a Grass-type Pokémon making it have an advantage over the first gym which is rock and I do agree Squirtle also has an advantage over rock Pokémon but Squirtle won't be that strong against the next gym which is water and then Bulbasaur has an advantage over the second gym. The next gym is thunder which would smoke Squirtle and not have much of an advantage over Charmander and Bulbasaur so far Bulbasaur is not weak to any gym but Charmander is weak to water and can't beat rock easily. Also Squirtle isn't good against Electric and not good against water). The next gym is grass which Bulbasaur isn't so good against but not so bad. Squirtle is super weak to this gym and Charmander can beat it easily. Next is poison which won't work so good on Squirtle and won't bother Bulbasaur much and Charmander would do average. Next is Psychic and all of them would do pretty well. Next is where Bulbasaur's FIRST weakness comes in he has to face fire. By then you should have enough Pokémon of different types to help you and Bulbasaur should be leveled up. Charmander won't do so good but not bad and Squirtle can defeat them easily. Next is ground but the gym doesn't use only ground type Pokemon and it's kinda mixed so there are advantages and disadvantages for all proving that Bulbasaur is mostly the BEST in the gym section with Squirtle next and Charmander last though most people consider that Charmander is first in the "cute" category with Squirtle behind and then Bulbasaur.

Here's my opinion about the team, there is no such thing as a 'perfect' team and you also need to backup a Pokémon. You need your backup Pokémon to be close to the level of your strongest Pokémon. I chose Bulbasaur and i want my backup Pokémon to be Poliwag which can be caught using a Good Rod but i have to travel a long way until i could get a Good Rod so for now I'm going to find a strong water Pokémon that can be found in grass then you should find Fighting and normal Pokémon because they don't take much damage from the 3 major elements (Grass,Water,Fire) and mostly you should get Fighting because they seem more stronger. If you have trouble finding electric, Water, and Fire Pokémon you can get an Eevee from bill and evolve it into any of those elements I listed...so altogether Squirtle would be the best Pokemon choice because it reall wouldn't have any trouble in catching the three legendary bird Pokemon except for Articuno, but it is known to be the easiest to catch.
