I think you are referring to the meteorites located in Veilstone City (when you press 'a' facing them, it says 'mysterious meteorite that fell from the stars'). These meteorites' purpose is to change Deoxys's form. Each meteorite changes his form when you press 'a' while facing them with Deoxys in the 1st slot of your party.
