Our actions in World War One began to gain Canada its independence. Indeed if it had not been for our actions in the past Canada would still have been ruled by Britain. We would not have been able to make our own decision, or elect our own leaders if this had not happened. There are hundreds of other examples in Canadian history that have changed our constitution, the Treaty of Versailles, the King Bying Crisis etc; each of these events has brought a change into the way Canada work today.
