Basically, there are none. Being an independent sovereign nation only has advantages in the world of politics, economy and diplomacy. As a former colony, Canada is part of the British Commonwealth which gives it all kind of advantages in trading with other Commonwealth partners.

∙ 11y agoThe welfare system is poor from socialism causing many Canadians to go to America for surgeries. The reason they don't have surgeries in Canada is because since Canada is partially socialist it takes a long time to get surgery and that is dangerous if you have a fast spreading disease.
