Having been to India and being Indian my experiences is that the majority of the community enjoy to do 'family' based activities. Such as playing the nation favourite 'Cricket' and to lesserextent soccer. However that major pastime of Indian people are of media based entertainment.
With the majority of people enjoying a good local made 'Bollywood' movie. Might I add value for money as the movies are never shorter than 2 hours, have more than at least 8 catchy Hindi songs and a predictable yet inviting plot. In addition the amount of households that have a television is staggering. Soap Opera's Indian style is a main stream pastime as it accessible and cheap.
