Answer #1

The pro is that you'd be in South Africa.

The con is that you'd be in South Africa.

In other words... this is the sort of question you really need to answer for yourself. If you want to ask more detailed questions, it's possible that someone could help you with specific answers, but without knowing why you want to go there, what you hope to do, what you're worried about, und so weiter, there's not a lot we can do.

Answer #2

Some pro's off the top of my head would be:

  • You'd be visiting a very beautiful country
  • You'd see wild animals that are custom to your country and some that are
  • You'd be able to eat cuisine not native to your home country\
  • You'd see sites that are historic and found only in South Africa

Some of the con's would be:

  • South Africa has very hot days and sometimes very cold nights.
  • You may not fully understand South African law and end up being arrested for something that may be legal in your home country
  • You are at risks for bites and stings that may be very painful
  • Communication may be small as South Africans speak Afrikaans (though some are Bilingual, one such person is Ol Big Al on Answers.com)
  • Not being familiar with the area may get you lost (and South Africa has many poisonous snakes and insects which getting lost will not protect you from).
