So-called "organized crime" can be involved in any type of criminal activity from selling heroin on the street corner to hijacking trucks to murder to ...anything. So-called 'white collar crime" is a loose reference to corporate crime that takes place within businesses, banks, and involves the fraudulent maniipulation of records, stocks, bank balances, ....etc. (e.g.: Crime where you don't get your hands 'dirty.')
Organized crime is a a criminal enterprise which main reason for existing is to make money - an illegal/unlawful "corporation" would probably be the best way to describe it. They rarely cause deaths outside their own circles or spheres of influence. Too much noteriety or publicity is bad for them and lessens their flow of income. Terrorist organizations exist simply to draw attention to themselves - make themselves well known - and feared - and cause indiscriminate deaths in the pursuit of their goals. Both are the VERY OPPOSITE of one another.
