Tecumseh was a very significant Native American who gave his life for what he believed. He knew that the Americans were a tremendous threat to all Indian tribes, and realized that the Indians would be destroyed one by one if not united. Tecumseh created a confederation of thirty-two tribes in hopes that the Americans would recognize their borders and thus put a halt to westward expansion. His confederation may have succeeded if it were not for the mistakes made by his brother, Laulewasika, the Americans violent actions towards the Indian tribes, and the unwillingness of the different tribes to cooperate. Tecumseh was born in March of 1768. His real name was Tecumtha, which meant "panther lying in wait," but to the white men he was called Tecumseh which stood for "shooting star."

None. Indians don't have tribes. Maybe you are talking about Native Americans? Don't be racist.
Tecumseh was indeed a Shawnee, but never a chief. He was a warrior who endeavored to unite all Indian tribes into one great confederacy to repel the invading White Tribe. A detailed story of his life can be found in A Sorrow in Our Heart: The Life of Tecumseh by Allan Eckert.
Tecumseh was raised to resist the white invaders. He excelled as a warrior and refused to attend a treaty conference, causing a break from the shawnee tribe. He and his militant followers - many who were not shawnee - moved to western ohio. In the next decade he not only became a great leader but was known by everyone, including the whites, for his eloquence and intelligence. Before his death, he urged tribes to band together, unified, to fight the greater enemy, the white invaders.
General William Tecumseh Sherman believed that the native American tribes made the best soldiers.
He wanted Native Americans to work together to defend their land!
