Nothing happens, really.
You will receive $6400 but $12800 if your Pokemon is holding Luck Incense or Amulet Coin. When u beat him he'll stay but will apear only on weekends, so be in for a tough fight! :P

You can't battle your Rival in the Survival Area unless it's the weekend, the Rival will only battle you on Saturdays and Sundays once the Rival is in the Survival Area.
