Looks like a cable with phone looking plugs on each end, but they are larger and heavier. You must purchase one long enough to go from the back of your PS3 to your router or cable modem. I found a 50 foot one on Ebay for $20

Sony USA does sell the Linksys Range plus wireless router for $99.99 at the site so a link has been added for the picture. Other routers look similar and can be purchase below retail prices so shop around for the best deal and do not pay full price.

You have to have a router to connect more than 1 item with Comcast Internet unless you also got the wireless router from Comcast. You can either go out and purchase a router either wireless, both, or Ethernet. I purchased a wireless router and then decided I liked the wired system better and purchased an Ethernet cable to hook up the PlayStation 3 because I saw that the router also had 4 Ethernet plugs in back. So you still need to purchase a router even though you have Internet access with Comcast.
