Go to the beach by Patoria then head to lake valor on the way you should see a guy from team galactic. Talk to him he will run, but follow him. The last spot you will need to talk to him is at lake valor battle him and the champion [need to beat after elite four] see will ask you to help some phyducks say yes solaceon town then head upward don't turn right you will see the phyducks talk to them and they will move. Now you may want to get some repels. Go through the path that the phyducks just made for you at the end of that long road you find celestic town.PS celestic town is where you can get palkia in your pokedex with diamond game or dialga in pearl game. Do this just look for the largest house there. If you can't find it it is above the cave [engraving on wall dose nothing]. Go inside the house talk to the woman and she will add palkia or dialga to your pokedex [not both]

What do you do after you get defog in platinum?
Use the HM defog on a winged pokemon. Then head to Solaceon town, and head north towards Celestic Town. On the way you will encounter a massive wall of fog. You can get through it but it is much easier to use defog and clear the path.

A lady will come in when you read the markings on the wall and she'll give you HM Surf.
