well, there have been rumors to a new series but i disagree that there should be when he dies since he has used the deathnote in his mortal life he would become a shinigami and be able to judge people from the shinigami world or he could travel to the human world and this time nothing could stop him.But if he kills a criminal that is about to harm someone's life span then he would die and i think he can't find criminals easier in the death god realm so it could be a chance of him lending it to a human to do it for him. I hope there is a sequeal too i love it.
