Camp Green Lake is a deserted place with no shade and nothing surrounding it.

So the warden wants to make all the people that were sent to camp green lake, has to dig up holes to find the treasure...........
This is because the word "camp" is in the name. When people hear "camp", they often think of summer camp. It is shown in action when Stanley says to the judge "Well, I've never been to camp before."
he act like a mom to group d
Stanley has learned to like himself and to make friends, and he has learned to be more confident and happier. Not because life is easier here, because it isn't, but because he has joined with others to make the world better and fight against evil.

There are only 2 trees
i dont think that there is a real camp green lake Zero does not like camp grren lake but does at the same time.So it keeps alternating. He digs holes and learns to become literate , as well as help Stanley find the treasure.
Camp Green Lake is the dried up lake in which teenage boys work because they committed a crime (basically, its like being sent to a Juvenile Detention Centre).
he is the person who watches over all of camp green lake. :-)
It is very hot and it reaches 93 degree.
In the book "Holes" by Louis Sachar, Jose is a chubby, quiet boy at the Camp Green Lake juvenile detention center. He is one of the boys in Stanley Yelnats' group who is forced to dig holes each day as part of their punishment. Jose is described as having a gentle nature and is shown to be a loyal friend to Stanley.

the difference of what Stanley thoguh was is that Stanley thoguh it would be a fun camp like you see on telvision but instead it was a terrible place to go
Basically I THINK that Louis Sachar builds tension in the novel (story) holes by starting to make you think that the camp, camp green lake will be a camp that is green, full of life and will have a lake nearby. when really the camp is basically just like a desert, it is dry have no water of anything and no food at all. so if you had happened to go there, you would have to dig holes non stop !
