My 16 year old sister is dating a 25 year old man ex-teacher at her school and now moving in together in Columbus, OH. My mother wants to know what she can do to protect herself legally as she doesn't agree with her decision at all but can't control my sisters actions. Should she report it or turn her head the other way? My mother has had enough with my sister attitude and disrespectful ways and looking for help for her own peace of mind.
No it is noet legal, because the male is considered an adult and so if he try's to do something with you he can be put in jail because you are a minor.
no if you are over 18 you can not date a minor nor can you both be minors but one be 4 years younger for example if you are 17 you can't date someone 13
The minors parents need to give the adult sibling with whom the minor is going to live a notarized document containing all pertinent information. It should have the date when the arrangement begins and the approximate date it ends if it is before the minor reaches the legal age of majority (18). It should give the adult sibling the authority to enroll the minor in school, obtain medical and dental procedures, state the financial arrangements (if any) and so forth. The parents are legally obligated to remain in contact with the minor and the minor's adult caregiver on a regular basis.
yea and no technically 15 year old is a minor and 18 is any adult but i feel they should be able to date but maybe the parents of the 15 year old will not approve, but i feel its legal

No, it is not legal. A 40 year old is an adult and a minor is under the age of consent and a child. Actually dating is legal if the parents say it is. There are no laws for dating just for sex and that is where the age of consent comes in, not when it comes to dating.
No, it is illegal. The 16 year old is a minor and the 21 an adult. The adult can be charged with rape or delinquency of a minor and be listed as a sex offender for the rest of his/her life.
