There is ONLY one Canada!!! Bob and Doug McKensie called it "The Great White North" in the early 1980's. Although the Mackenzie Brothers were quite funny in their own silly way, they are really no experts on Canada, especially in July when the temp. has been known to climb to over 40C with the humidex!! LOL

there was no "old" name for Canada, however, because the country was very new, there was Upper Canada, which is Ontario, and Lower Canada which is Quebec, then there were the Territories.
