The router for a PS3 is an Optional item that you purchase to allow the internet to connect to more than one device and/or can also include the ability to connect with WiFi. It is not a part of the PS3 and is more a part of a home network allowing you to connect a PC, a PS3, laptops, and other devices to you internet service.
You can use a wireless router to set up a wireless on-line connection for the PlayStation 3. It is also possible to use a wired connection with an Ethernet cable attached to the back of your PS3. It depends on what type of connection you plan on making to the PS3 whether you want a wireless or wired router. I purchased a wireless router even though my connection was going to be wired because I wanted the ability to have both available in case I purchased another product ( for example a notebook computer) that could only be wireless. What I actually did was keep the wireless router I had purchased instead of taking it back and exchanging it for a wired router for half the price once I decided I liked the wired connection better.
The button is on the router and not the PS3
A PS3 has WiFi and you can put the router next to your modem. The only thing the back of a PS3 uses for the internet is for a wired connection with an ethernet cable to your router or modem instead of a WiFi connection
That's not how you set up online connection on the PS3
After you have broadband or DSL internet service then you need to purchase the equipment needed to connect the PS3. The PS3 can be connected only with WiFi or an ethernet cable to your modem or router
If the Modem was already working and for example you unplug your computer and plug in the PlayStation 3 it will work after you go to the PS3 network settings and make the connection. It will be easier on you to find a used router and plug it into the modem and then plug both the computer and PS3 into the router.
It is your router that disconnects the PS3 and not the PS3 that disconnects the router. Set the router to always on for internet connection, your router is disconnecting when it is not being used by the PS3 for the internet
It would be on your router. the PS3 does not have a router you have to buy one if you need a router
The PS3 does not have a router. you must purchase one to connect online if you need a router
The button is on the router and not the PS3
A ps3 does not have a AOSS button the AOSS button is on your wireless routerThe button if available would be on your router and not the PS3 which does not have a router or the router's AOSS button
The PS3 does not have a router. It can go online with an ethernet cable connected to a router or modem or with WiFi from a wireless router or modem
You don't it could be on your router the PS3 does not have a router
A router is not part of the PS3 hardware, you must purchase a router if you need one.
There is no router on a PS3. There should be a router connected to your computer to give you wifi. The IS a network adapter built inside the PS3 that will connect to your router. For connecting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC7aPylbI3M
The wireless router for PS3 is inside. To access it, you need to buy a wireless access point, called a router, and plug it in to your computer's Internet access area, usually a modem. Set it up with your computer, and then have the PS3 search for the router.
You can purchase a router and connect the PS3 to the router with an ethernet cable. The router must then be connected to a cable modem or similar internet source
You can forward ports on your router for your PS3's IP, add the PS3 to the router's DMZ, or (although just this isn't the best fix in my experience) turn UPnP on on your router
