Well question is not precise , but it could be : Fossil, petrified wood sand (into a sand stone)..... a lot of stuff organic and inorganic in earth geological history was buried and changed by variousprocesses in to a rock or mineral!!

What happens to rock fragments tat get buried aftr a long time?

They become compacted and cemented into sedimentary rock.

What is sediments that buried compacted and cemented together called?

Sediments that are buried, compacted, and cemented together are known as sedimentary rock. Examples include sandstone, limestone, and shale. These rocks form through the accumulation of mineral and organic particles over time.

How can a piece of granite can be changed from an igneous rock to a sedimatery rock and then to a metaphoric?

A piece of granite can be changed from an igneous rock to a sedimentary rock, and then to a metamorphic rock as it gets buried deeper within the Earth's crust.

What kind of sedimentary rock formed from plant material over a long period of time?

The answer is coal, because it is made up of dead plants that are buried, then are chemically changed by microorganisms then compacted over millions of years.

How a metamorphic rock can be changed into a sedimentary rock?

A metamorphic rock can be broken down in the weathering process, the same as any other type of rock. Once the weathered material is deposited, compacted, and lithified (turned to rock), it becomes a sedimentary rock.

Rock that has changed from one type of rock to another type of rock is called?

It can be any type of rock. If heat and pressure deep in the Earth changed it, it is a metamorphic rock. If sediments of sand or other rocks compacted/cemented together, it's a sedimentary rock. If magma from a volcano cools, (on the outside of a volcano) it's an igneous rock.

Describe what happens to sediment as it is changed to sedimentary rock?

Sediment is first compacted and cemented together to form sedimentary rock. Over time, pressure and temperature help the sediment grains fuse together to create a solid rock structure. This process can take thousands to millions of years.

What type of rock is made up of slowly buried sediments that were later cemented together by dissolved minerals?

Sedimentary rock, such as sandstone or shale, is formed from slowly buried sediments that are compacted and cemented together by dissolved minerals like calcite or quartz. These rocks often preserve fossils and provide insight into Earth's history.

Where does rock come from tell the answer?

Rock is soil compacted and changed physically and chemically over thousands of years. The changes are due to temperature, pressure and various chemicals in the area that process is taking place.

How is an igneous rock changed to sedimentary rock?

By erosion and sedimentation It has to go to the surface, then it is weathered into sediments, then it is eroded to somewhere else and depostied there. Then is is compacted (pushed together by pressure) and cemented (glued) together.

How can a metamorphic rock be changed into a sedimentary?

A metamorphic rock can be changed into a sedimentary rock through the process of weathering and erosion. This involves the breakdown of the existing rock into sediment particles, which are then transported and deposited in layers. Over time, these layers of sediment can become compacted and cemented together to form a new sedimentary rock.
