the show is about a Pizza delivery boy named Fry who has a horrible life in the year 1999 and is sent on a prank pizza delivery to a lab where they freeze people to be kept for as many years as they want to be. he goes on the delivery on new years eve in new york and watches the crystal ball drop but right when the count hits one he falls into a freezer and the sets for a thousand years when he wakes up it is the year 3000 and he is in the city new new york which is right above the original new york. in this year. in the lab is where he meet his love Leela who is a cyclops. that is when Fry goes into a suicide booth thinking it is a phone booth and almost gets killed. after that he meets up with the robot that becomes his best friend Bender. Leela quits her job at the lab and Bender, Leela, and Fry meet up with professer Hubert J. Farnsworth whoes gives them all jobs in his delivery company. that is pretty much the entire first episode.
