K-pop, short for Korean popular music, is a genre of music originating in South Korea as part of South Korean culture, but is known in a lot of places
People like K-pop for being unique and different. Usually people would listen to american pop (or just pop) but aside from that there are many other varieties of pop from other countries. J-pop and K-pop for example (Japanese and Korean). American pop is very famous - but imagine Americans sang K-pop, now that's news. America tends to be a larger, more famous country with more professional but everyone has their likes right?K-pop is more exotic and new, exciting and interesting but their are some great American ones too! It's all about the people, the culture and the inspiration and ideas! That's what makes music amazing. K-pop can be just as boring as American pop depending on the viewer and singer/genre.At the moment american music (whether it be pop, rock, jazz etc) is the most successful because of its broad range of artists. Think of america (north) the most popular country/continent ever (which it is).

I guess its the same feeling of when you get hooked on a song. The beat of and the tune of it gets really addicting and catchy. But music of a different language shouldn't stop you from liking it right?

This is because K-pop is, to many artists, far more artistic than American pop. It is something the world has never experienced before! K-pop is viral and is continuously making its way through many countries and people daily! ;)
