On the reverse [tails] side of a coin there is a banner above the shield and the banner bears the motto "In God We Trust" Two varities of this were minted, the large motto and the small motto. Coins with the large motto are the most plentiful so the small motto is the more difficult one to find. To tell the difference, look at the first letter "T" in the word "TRUST". On the small motto the "T" is almost touching the fold in the banner, and on the large motto the "T" has a noticable space between it and the fold.
Not enough information. ALL U.S. coins carry that motto. Please post a new question with the coin's denomination, condition, and mint mark.
It's IN GOD WE Trust, not you trust and the year was 1956.Although it wasn't yet officially our motto, we started adding it to our coins starting in 1864 with the 2 cent coin.

If the coin is missing the motto" In God WE Trust" it's likely also missing the date and mintmark, look at the edge of the coin again to be sure.
I think it was "In God We Trust".

The date (2009), mintmark and motto are on the edge of the coin.
The date, mint mark, and motto E Pluribus Unum are incused (recessed) into the coin's edge. They can be difficult to see in some cases. During 2007 and 2008 the other motto "In God We Trust" was on the coin's edge as well but protests from conservatives forced the Mint to move the motto to the coin's face. Starting in 2009, the same items appear on the edge of Native American dollars as well.
If the coin is dated 1847 and has the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on the banner above the eagle on the reverse, it's fake. The motto was added in 1866.
A 1908 Saint-Gaudens $20 Double Eagle coin with no motto on reverse in a mint state of AU-50 is worth: $975.00; if this coin does have the motto on revese, its value in a mint state of AU-50 is also: $975.00.
The national motto E-PLURIBUS-UNUM does not identify the coin. Post new question with the denomination.
No U.S. coin has the words in got you trust or in god you trust. But the 1864 2-cent piece is the first coin to have the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" on it.
