What is the conflict in Star Wars?

It depends on which movie that you are talking about.

In the Phantom Menace, the conflict is the Naboo blockade and getting Queen Amidala safely to Coruscant.

In Attack of the Clones, the conflict is Anakin and Padmé falling in love, even though he is a Jedi. Another conflict is the Clone Wars beginning.

In Revenge of the Sith, the obvious conflict is Anakin's struggle of falling to the Dark Side and trying to keep Padmé alive.

In A New Hope, the conflict is the Death Star and the Empire ruling everyone.

In The Empire Strikes Back, the conflict is escaping the Empire and Luke's training as a Jedi. Near the end of the movie, there is also the conflict of Han Solo's freezing in Carbonite.

In Return of the Jedi, the conflict is rescuing Han Solo, Defeating the emperor and blowing up the second Death Star.

In all Star Wars Movies, books, and the T.V. Series, the main conflict of it all is defeating the Dark Side and the Evil Sith Lords.
