1. Hades was never "tricked" into being god of the Underworld.

2. Out of all the Greek pantheon, he and Hephaestus were actually the nicest guys by today's standards - they did not cheat on their wives nor go around raping and murdering for entertainment unlike the other gods.

3. Hades was more than happy to sit at home in the underworld hanging out and never had any intention of trying to usurp Zeus' place.

4. Hades kidnapped Persephone and raped her, yes, but in those times that was the equivalent of getting married. Oftentimes neither the bride nor her mother were aware of impending nuptials; then one day some bloke would kick in the door and carry her off and the girl in question would thus be informed she was about to get hitched. So in the ancient Greek perspective, if you were to call what happens kidnapping and rape they would probably reply with "What? He's only getting married...". And as far as I know, there's no indication that Persephone hated her husband, let alone disliked him.
