I would weaken him like any other Pokemon and afflict him with a status ailment (sleep, poison, etc.) The preferred ball of choice would be the dusk ball, because since he is in a cave the ball will have a 4x catch rate. If you really want the EASIEST way to catch him, just throw a master ball and viola.
