The 2004 straight-to-DVD movie, The Lion King 1½ was released internationally under the title The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata. There was no specific reason as to 'why' the title was changed, it was simply released under a different title despite having nothing to do with advancing the story from the first two films.
yes it is. The Lion King is based on actual African folk tale. And if you watch the making of the movie, which is usually at the end, you will see that in order to make the Lion King, they had to work with real lions, and actually travel to Africa, to build enough knowledge to make a movie of it.

At this current time, it is unlikely Disney is going another Lion King film because the Walt Disney Company has not confirmed that any new Lion King film is in production and may never make it as Disney announced that no more sequels toward their theatrical films will made after the release of The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning.Hi they may not make the lion king IV but i am. im a new move producer and writer and i am currently writing the lionking IV. i loved it when it 1st came out and now making one myself

Canonically, Kiara doesn't have a brother in The Lion King II. Kopa would be considered Kiara's brother, but he doesn't appear or is directly mentioned in the film as he only exists in The Lion King: Six New Adventures and is never spoken of again.
