The moral of Sleeping Beauty might be that life, and growing up, presents unavoidable risks.

But perhaps it has no moral. Sleeping Beauty is a fairy tale, not a fable. Fables were meant to be instructive and provide moral guidance. Fairy Tales were frequently sometimes just the opposite. They provided entertainment, sometimes of a spooky kind, and while some of them might indirectly provide instruction it was certainly not the purpose.

Also, there are different versions of the story. The earliest printed version, dating from the 1620s, has more in common with Greek mythology than with modern versions.

The morality of the story is that when you treat people of the same status or class, you should treat them all fairly. The reason that made the witch curse the spell on the princess is that the witch got different treatment. She got only silver plate and spoon for her from the king while other fairies got gold plate and spoon. This made the witch angry and cursed the princess. Apart, it also about the true love. True love beats the evil. As long as you have love, then you'll have care, compassion, attention etc. This returns you a success. Have only that. You can add more.
