Boomerang used to air Popeye but as of April 2013, it does not seem to be airing (even though it does still appear on its website), so unless it airs on another channel or they bring it back, it would seemYogi Bear (also onBoomerang)may be now be the oldest cartoon still currently airing having airedoriginallyin 1961.

The longest talk show that is still in production is the Late Show with David Letterman. It has been in production since 1993. The longest running talking show in production ever was The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson from 1962 to 1992.

Unless there is an foreign show I cannot locate, Meet the Press, having started in 1947 (and still producing episodes today) was the first regular TV series.

There are broadcasts that are older, farming and weather bulletins shown twice daily, three times a week in 1928 & of course the broadcast of The Queen's Messenger also in 1928 but the early days, nothing that can really be called a "series"
