What is the psychological disorder in the movie shutter island?

Shutter Island is about an asylum for the criminally insane. It is an island out in the middle of no where on which people who have murdered due to mental illness go. When a woman goes missing a police officer comes to help find her because she is one of there most dangerous patients. She murdered her three kids by drowning them in a lake, she then dressed them up and sat them at the table and ate 6 or so meals there with them before she was caught and sent to Shutter Island. It was one of the best endings, so be sure to either watch or read it!

Okay, Teddy Daniels is actually Andrew Laeddis. He escaped the island and made up this fake story of how his wife died in a fire, and they never had any kids. So then, they brought him BACK to the island by making up a Rachel Solando who didn't really exist, and it was an excuse to get him back to where he originally was, he was a patient because he went crazy after killing his wife who killed their kids. At the end he is fully convinced he is Andrew Laeddis when he has a flashback.

His doctor Mr. Sheen was playing as his partner, and he still calls him "boss" and all that because it makes him feel more comfortable.

Plus, at the VERY end he wants to erase all his horrible memories so he let's them do the brain treatment on him.
