Well, Sesshomaru saved Rin from a pack of wolves by using Tenseiga (sword of healing) on her, and let her come along with him. I think their relationship is more like father/daughter. Some people think otherwise, though.

Their relationship is quite complicated yet innocent. If u watch the TV series or read the manga you will know that Sesshomaru hates humans and yet he likes Rin. I think it is simply because Rin is so determined to be apart of his life that he allows it.
