Voltage is more formally and descriptively called electromotive force. It is an electromagnetic force which causes outer valence electrons in the atoms of an electrical conductor to be disclocated and move from one atom to an adjacent atom when the conductor is connected in a loop or electrical circuit. The common unit of electromotive force is the volt. An electrical source, either directly connected or magnetically coupled with the circuit, produces the electromotive force. A "voltage source" maintains a fairly constant voltage in a circuit when resistance and current varies. A "current source" maintains a fairly constant current when resistance and voltage varies.
A generator, is an inductive device that converts mechanical energy, usually delivered through a rotating power shaft, to electrical energy. A revolving magnetic field in a rotor induces voltage in stationary coils (stator). The rotor can be either an electromagnet or permanent magnets.
Batteries and fuel cells produce voltage by a chemical reaction in a special cell which produces an excess of electrons at one electrode incorporated in the cell, which becomes negative, and an absence of electrons at the other electrode, which is the positive pole.
A photovoltaic cell is a light sensitive device constructed of semiconductor materials that readily absorb photons and release electrons in response. Conductive plates on either side of the cell develop an excess of electrons at one plate and an absence of electrons at the other plate, with a resulting voltage across the plates.
Thermocouples consist of two dissimilar conductive materials that are joined together at a junction. If each side of the junction is at a different temperature, a voltage will occur across the two conductive ends of the thermocouple.
9 v voltage Rail is something that is a =n electrical devise and can be used in batteries and other stuf so i dont realy know much more
the difference between a voltage converter to a voltage regulator,is that a voltage converter, converts or changing the desired voltage to be used while the voltage regulator, regulates the input of the voltage amount not to excess to its inputs.
A voltage DC(direct current voltage) is a uni-direction steady voltage. It is the opposite of an analog/alternative voltage which varies in polarity and direction with time.
Terminal voltage is the voltage gotten at the terminals of the load in any system.
Voltage stabilizer is use to regulate the voltage the output of any device
Simran manufactures its voltage converters in the US. The SMF-200 Voltage Converter is a great buy and made in the USA.

The voltage of a galvanic cell made with silver and nickel will depend on the specific conditions of the cell, such as the concentrations of the electrolytes and the temperature. Typically, a cell made with silver and nickel could have a voltage range between 0.8 to 1.0 V.
4.2 V
For an ideal switch, there will be no voltage drop across it. In reality, there will be a very small voltage drop, and this will be dependent on how well made the switch is, and what it is made out of.
They used to be either Ni-Cd or NiMH, which made the cell voltage 1.2V. These days they can be Li-Po / Li-Io, which have about 3.6V cell voltage.
The voltage of a galvanic cell made with silver and nickel will depend on the specific half-reactions involved. However, using standard reduction potentials, the cell voltage can be calculated as the difference between the reduction potentials of the two metals.
