I believe thast it was because the creator of the Titanic felt that it would take away from the beauty of the ship. And being coined "unsinkable". On its maiden voage the passangers may have been a bit too many but they where on a course. Full steam ahead !!! (I mean i wasnt there but that's what I think).

Titanic's fourteen standard lifeboats, at 30 ft. long, could fit about 70 people if need be. The two cutters and four Englehardts were slightly smaller and thus could carry slightly fewer people.
People blame the designer of the Titanic for not including enough lifeboats primarily because the ship was marketed as "unsinkable," leading to a false sense of security. The regulatory standards of the time were outdated, requiring fewer lifeboats than necessary for the number of passengers. Additionally, there was a prevailing belief that lifeboats would detract from the ship's aesthetic appeal and luxury. As a result, when the Titanic sank, the lack of adequate lifeboats became a focal point for criticism.
J. Bruce Ismay, the managing director of the White Star Line, was involved in the decision to carry fewer lifeboats on the Titanic than required by maritime law. Initially, the ship was designed to carry 48 lifeboats, but this was reduced to 16, with a total capacity for about 1,178 people. Ismay did not personally remove the lifeboats, but he supported the design changes that led to the reduced number, prioritizing aesthetics and deck space over safety.
The decision to include fewer lifeboats on the Titanic was influenced by J. Bruce Ismay, the managing director of the White Star Line, and the ship's designers, particularly Thomas Andrews. They prioritized aesthetics and the ship's luxury design over safety regulations, believing that the Titanic was "unsinkable." This led to a lifeboat capacity that was insufficient for the number of passengers and crew on board.
The titanic did not hit head on.The titanic captin saw the iceberg and steered it to the right....MORE ABOUT THE TITANIC...Why_did_Titanic_hit_the_iceberg_sideways_instead_of_head_on...The titanic did not hit head on because the boat crew knew that the titanic was desiegned to hit boats head on not icebergs the iceberg was many times bigger then the titanic. the size of the iceberg was so enormous that almost all experts in engeneering all agree that the force of a head on collision would have been so great the titanic would have sunk with in minits instead of 2 hours if it would have hit head on.the force would have a rippling effect and would have traveled from the tip of the ship all across its bulkhead breaking rivets from bow to stern causing catostophic damage killing many more people then it did

The lifeboats on the Titanic were ordered to be loaded shortly after the ship struck the iceberg at around 11:40 PM on April 14, 1912. Captain Edward Smith gave the order to begin loading the lifeboats around 12:05 AM as the situation became increasingly dire. However, the loading process was slow and chaotic, leading to many lifeboats leaving with fewer passengers than they were capable of holding.
The Titanic was designed to carry fewer lifeboats than required by regulations of the time, as its builders believed the ship was practically unsinkable. They prioritized aesthetics and deck space over safety, resulting in only 20 lifeboats, sufficient for about half of the passengers and crew. Additionally, there was a prevailing belief that lifeboats would be unnecessary because of the ship's advanced safety features. Tragically, this decision contributed to the high loss of life during the disaster.
Words related to the Titanic that start with "Y" include "yacht," which can refer to luxury vessels, though not directly related to the Titanic itself. For "Z," there are fewer direct connections, but "zero," as in zero survivors from certain lifeboats, could be considered in a historical context. Overall, there are limited Titanic-specific terms beginning with these letters.
People worked shorter days and fewer hours.
The fewer people that know, the better. There were fewer children at camp.
If global warming is really setting in, then fewer and fewer people will be cool.
fewer people live in the north pole because it is very cold
The capacity of a lifeboat varies depending on its size and design, but standard lifeboats typically hold between 50 to 150 passengers. Some larger lifeboats can accommodate even more, while smaller ones may hold fewer. Lifeboats are designed to ensure safety and stability during emergencies at sea, adhering to maritime regulations regarding passenger limits. Always refer to specific lifeboat specifications for accurate capacity information.
"fewer people now" would be correct. "fewer" denotes something that can be counted (like people). "less" denotes something that cannot be counted (like water or sand). FYI- the signs at WalMart are INCORRECT "20 items or less". It should be "fewer".
