What makes Argentina special and different from the other countries in the Americas?

Both countries are Latin American nations, meaning both have a majority of populations speaking Spanish and professing the Roman Catholic religion, and have some common traditions such as Day of the Dead, Christmas and Easter, as both nations were colonized by Spain in the past.

Besides that, both countries have very different cultures. Modern Argentine culture has been largely influenced by European Immigration, specially Italian and Spanish. The best-known element of Argentine culture is the tango dance, and most Argentinians are well-known for being outspoken and passionate; almost arrogant. Mexican people are by contrast, more reserved and shy but friendly and fun. Mexican Culture depends largely on region and urban vs. rural, but contemporary life in its cities has become similar to that in neighboring United States. Most Mexican villagers follow the older way of life more than city people do.
