Africa is a large continent with many countries, and the countries face different problems. Poverty, crime and war are some problems Africans face.
The best way for Africa to move forward as a continent is for her countries to work together. Each country in Africa doesn't trust her neighbours at all. The weaker countries face skills shortages due to people leaving for greener pastures in better off African countries. While the better off countries face mass immigration from the rest of Africa, which worsens their situation. Should South Africa (and the rest of Africa in general) strive to create stronger ties with each other and work together for a common goal, it should (in theory) help solve a large number of Africa's numerous problems. Not only would this benefit SA, but it would benefit the rest of Africa as well. However, one country cannot do all the work, it will take a team effort.

Thus, while the Sherman Act can apply to unions, there are specific provisions that protect their rights.
