you can get emancipated. it's like divorcing you parents and they don't have any legal rights over you anymore as guardians but you have to look out for yourself. but they have to sign the papers i think, you can't just go do it without them knowing and if your already an adult you could change your last name

Did the Duggars disown their oldest son?

No, Josh and his wife, Anna, live in Washington, D.C. with their three children. Washington D.C. is quite a distance from Josh's parent's home in Tontitown, Arkansas. All of the Duggar children receive a starter home from their parents once they are married and this is the only time (other than being in college) when it is acceptable for a Duggar child not to live with their parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

Can kids disown parents?

You can "disown" your parent but there is no legal effect. If you died tomorrow with no spouse or children, in most jurisdictions, your parent(s) would inherit your property according to the laws of intestacy if you have no will. The solution is to have a will and tell some trusted person who knows where it is stored. In your case you have children, and possibly a spouse. Your mother will not have any right to your estate. Your property would pass to your spouse and children. You are not legally responsible for your parent's debts or financial support unless you agree to be responsible, in writing. You have no legal responsibility to your mother and can cut all ties with her if you wish. You should use your experience, resources and energy to provide a better family life for your own children.
