Roughly, more than 70% of people in Zimbabwe claim to be Christians. About 50 % belong to traditional churches like Roman Catholic, Methodist and Anglican. However, there is a growing trend of independent Protestant churches, with membership at one campus reaching beyond 20,000. Charismatic Christianity is probably the second largest Christian group, with examples being Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Assemblies Of God Association, United Apostolic Faith Church, Harvest House Internantional and Word of Life Ministries International.

A pseudo-Christianity group, an apostolic sect, is the third largest group. This group mixes teachings of Judaism and ancestral worship. Ancestral worship is probably the fourth group. Other religions include Muslim, Hindu and Baha'i.
