Me again. I was thinking black pants, shoes, and button down with a white undershirt. I'm not sure about a tie or bow-tie yet. I don't own a suit jacket, so would it be worth it to buy one? I'd ask your date what color her dress will be and then have your shirt or tie match. As for the jacket, it depends on how formal the dance is. Some homecoming dances request tuxedos and others just pants and shirt are fine. Ask someone who went to this school's homecoming last year to see what people wore. Also, as a personal preference, do not wear a black shirt with black pants... just not flattering. I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm just going with a group of friends this year. No date for me haha.

Moderately formal. It's not like prom; I wouldn't wear a big fluffy dress or a suit and tie, per se. But a nice dress with some cute shoes if you're a girl, or nice pants and shirt if you're a guy would be perfect. I always wore summer-y dresses to my homecoming, and so did everyone else. Well, the girls did, haha.
