Yes Tom Ryan was a real person. He was 27 at the time of the sinking. He was a Third Class Steward. He was born in New Jersey. The last ship he was on before Titanic was the St Louis.
The Titanic was divided into classes depending upon social hierarchy. First class was for aristocracy (or people who had inherited o sort of royal status such as countesses and counts); Second Class was for working people such as clerks, minors, and teachers; Third class was for the people who wanted to emigrate to America for a better life. They weren't really divided by how much they could pay but their class did determine where their sleeping quarters were located. The aristocrats paid for the type of quarters they wanted but a whole family could board on one ticket that may have only cost £260 depending on the size of the quarters.
There were four different type of passenger rooms on the Titanic. The first class passengers rooms had up to 5 rooms total, including private baths. The second class passengers rooms had a total of 2 or 4 rooms. The third class passengers had single room accommodations.
If you mean where they filmed it. They filmed the movie in Mexico, and when the people were just laying in the ocean after Titanic sank, James Cameron (writer, director, producer of Titanic the movie) filmed it in Baja Studios, Mexico in a water tank so don't feel sad.
