Second, all of the better known brands make products that hit alot of the same price points. ie A Ride board for $329 is a beginner board and will ride very similar to a Burton board for $329. Most of it is that the brand image is different. Burton is the largest, well known snowboard company out there. Salomon started in skis, but their snowboards break away from that image. They both make great products.
