The Interior Plains is a vast region of North America that stretches from Canada's western arctic region all the way down to the border of Mexico. The Great Plains is a term used mainly in the US, referring to a large section of the Interior Plains, west of the Mississippi. The term includes Canadian territory, but is rarely used in Canada. In Canada it is more common to refer to the entire Interior Plains as one unit, or to use the term prairie. Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are commonly called the Prairie Provinces.
The main occupation of the people of the Northern Plains is Agriculture. The main crops are wheat, rice, bajra, jowar, sugarcane etc.
In Xhosa, you can say "Ndiyaphumela" to express that you are scarce or in limited supply. This phrase conveys the idea of being rare or not readily available. If you need a more specific context, the wording might vary slightly.

The great plains of the US get more rain as you move eastward, becoming forests. Westward the plains phase into deserts, high sage plains or mountains.
There were more trees to make timber in the East; more stones and rocks; more coal, petroleum, and oil... and products made from these were scarce in the Plains. Even salt water (ocean) and fresh water was scarcer in the Great Plains than in the East. Men in the East made cotton, sugar, salt, and corn oil. The East up through the early 1900s was still thickly wooded; even now, much is still rural woodlands. Where-ever you have woodlands, you have plentiful small game, birds, deer, snakes, and insects. So if no woodlands, you would also not have the wildlife or insects. And without woodlands, the soil would not be rich loam and would not retain moisture.
The Great Plains are generally drier than the Central Plains. The Great Plains, which stretch from Canada to Texas, have a semi-arid climate with lower precipitation levels, while the Central Plains, located east of the Great Plains, tend to receive more rainfall. This difference in moisture is due to geographical and climatic factors, including proximity to moisture sources like the Gulf of Mexico.
The great plains have the fewest mountains. I guess that would be more north than south, east or west.

The Great Plains is a vast, flat region in North America characterized by grasslands, limited trees, and semi-arid climate. It is known for its agricultural productivity and wide open spaces. The Central Plains, also known as the Central Lowlands, are located east of the Great Plains and feature rolling hills, fertile soil, and a more diverse landscape with forests and rivers.
New England experiences more earthquakes compared to the Great Plains, as it lies in a region with more active geological features such as faults. The Great Plains, on the other hand, is a relatively stable tectonic region with fewer earthquake occurrences.
The Great Plains extend from Canada in the north down to Texas in the south, covering parts of several U.S. states. They generally end at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains to the west and transition into the more rugged terrain of the western United States. To the east, the plains gradually give way to the rolling hills and forests of the Midwest.
