Currently, three Duggar children have moved out (Josh, Jill, and Jessa) leaving 16 kids at home with Jim Bob and Michelle. But, Joseph has moved away to go to college, so there technically are only 15 children in the house right now. But he is not permanently moved out until he gets married, so if Joseph does not get married by the time he graduates, he is moving back in with Jim Bob and Michelle.

There was an educational show on television (it is still shown on PBS) called "Reading Rainbow". It was on in the early 90's but debuted in the 80's. It was hosted by Levar Burton and it ran for several years (maybe 15 year at least!) It was about the love of reading and then gave the children who watched, books to read told by other children based on the theme of that particular show.
Elementary schools (6-15 yrs) are compulsory so 100% of children go to school. High schools (15-19 yrs) also have very high attendence, but the students aren't ussually called children anymore.
John Tyler had the most children, 15 at that, with only two wives!
