There are no horses listed in the credits of The Quiet Man, and an internet search failed to disclose the identity of John Wayne's mount in that movie. One hint, however, is that Wayne's favorite horse during the 40s and 50s was a sorrel named Banner. Since The Quiet Man was released in 1952, there is a good chance the actor was riding Banner.
Wayne rode several horses over the years, including Duke, Starlight, Banner, Steel, Alamo, Dollar (sometimes called Dollor), Beau and Cochise.
