He began taking flying lessions at age fourteen, and on his sixteen birthday he was issued a pilots license. A seriouse pilot even at the,Armstrong built a small wind tunnel (a tunnel through which air is fourced at controled speends to study to effects of its flow) in the basement of his home.He also performed experiments using the model planes he had made.Through such activites he was preparing for what would be a distingguished areer in aeronautics ,or the disign,constrution,and navigations of aircrafts.
