The occupations of the Third Class passengers were as diverse as the nationalities represented. Many took the voyage to start a new life in North America. The majority of nationalities were mostly from Europe, with a large group from the UK and Scandinavia, and a number of Eastern Europeans. Some were as far as Hong Kong, and there was a number from the Middle East.
