My Earth is not "tilted on its axis". The correct fact with which to introduce this discussion
is: The Earth's axis is not perpendicular to the plane of its orbit around the sun. It is directed
about 23.5 degrees from the perpendicular to that plane.
If the Earth's rotational axis WERE perpendicular to the plane of its orbit, then there
would be no seasons. The weather would be hottest at the equator, it would become
smoothly and steadily cooler as you moved farther from the equator, it would be coldest
at the poles, and at any fixed latitude, it would not change much throughout the year.
well if the earth did not tilt then we wouldn't have winter, spring ,and fall.
it would of been summer every single day and night and never winter.
because the sun would hit at one angle and heat is formed by the sun. Why? you may ask well because god made it like that.
DONT YOU LITTLE KIDS KNOW THAT? DAMM.
The seasons would only vary with the distance of Earth from the Sun (summer when closer, winter when farther away). This would not be as great a difference since the difference in orbital distance is only about 3%.
The poles would also always be colder (frozen) and the middle latitudes would never become much colder as they do in winter.
Without the axial tilt, there would be no seasons on Earth. Every day of the year would be just like every other day of the year (with very minor differences in temperature due to the Earth's elliptical orbit bringing the Earth a little closer to the sun in January and a little farther away in July). Day and night would both be 12 hours all year long. Its unlikely that life on Earth as it is today would survive. But if the Earth had begun this way and life had evolved in that environment, things would be very different - no spring flowers (so no spring break), no fall leaves, no snow in winter (no snow days), no summer (no summer vacation).
There would be no seasons, so there would be no things such as trees going dormant in winter, birds, animals and fish migrating to warmer climates, etc. etc.
If the Earth was tilted on a different angle the seasonal variations would be different.
The Earth is tilted, and it causes seasons.
The weather would not change and we would receive an "overdose" of sunlight and receive to many rays, overheat maybe die and get sun cancer
If the earth was not tilted at an angle of 23.5 degrees, there would not be the different seasons.
There will be no seasons. It would be inhabitably cold in the 2 poles, the equator will be tropical and it will be a "wet" season. Rest of the regions will be in an Autumn-like state.
Maybe because the earth's tilted orbital plane causes the moon to orbit tiled, if the earth was straight it has said that the moon would orbit straight line.
Whatever direction you can possibly think of, the earth's axis is tilted by 23.5 degreesin that exact direction once every year.
When summer in New Zealand, the Earth's southern regions are tilted towards the Sun, and the North Pole tilted away from it.
There would be no seasons.
It is summer because that part of the earth is tilted towards the sun and it gets more heat.
If the earth was not tilted at an angle of 23.5 degrees, there would not be the different seasons.

The seasons are caused by the fact that the Earth's axis is tilted. As the Earth travels around the sun, the hemisphere that is tilted toward the sun changes. Whenever your hemisphere is pointed toward the sun, it is summer in your hemisphere.
the earth would be weird.
The Earth spins about its axis. That defines the Earth's axis. It is the axis of spin that is tilted. If the Earth were not spinning it would not have an axis.
There would be no four seasons if the earths axis was not tilted.
Seasonal cycle
Maryland would have no seasons if the Earth were not tilted because the hemispheres would always be in the same place in relation to the sun.
23.5°
the seasons would be different. it would be really hot in one place and cold in another at different times of the year than it is supposed to.
