The muppets, including Kermit the Frog, originally a (Frog Like creature), were(Out) as a mroe or less experimental traveling act (On other programs) in the mid-sixties, they appeared on various educational slots on Channel l3 then WNDT), and the Jimmie Dean program, not related to the tragic actor of the fifties but a modern more or less country-western thing. I am positive they were out when I was in Middle grades in the mid-sixties.
